Book Review: Tautan Hati

Assalamualaikum,

I decided to write again rather than just lying on the bed or surfing the internet lamely. I bought this book in Negeri Sembilan when I was in USIM (awww, I miss USIM!!). There was a book festival in the city of Nilai. I went there with my friends and coursemates. I read this book when I was in Form 5? err, cant remember. However, I certainly remember that the reason I bought it not because it was my first reading but I wanted it to be one of my book collections.

I think, every character in this novel is the main character. Asiah Yusro, Al-Banna, Umar, Mardiah and Elya Khadija are some of the characters in it. All the names are inspired from incredible people who have done good deeds in Islam.

 For your information, this is the only book that I bring with me to UK (and a dictionary). I think I really need it when I am in distress. It tells us about the situations in teenager's life and the solutions (maybe). I find it a good source of motivation to build my spiritual level. It never fails to wake my inner soul each time I read it. So, it is really a recommended reading for you even though you dislike lovey dovey novel. But if you dont fancy reading, that cannot be helped. LOL.

Book Review: Matilda

Okay, lepas entry mengarut kat bawah ni, ayuh kita berilmiah pula.

I read this book a long time ago. I read it more than 10 times coz it is fascinating.

It is about a little girl named Matilda. She is a gifted person. She can read books starting from the age of 3 years old. However, her family is not a supportive family. They do not even care about Matilda. Matilda starts schooling quite late. But, it is not a problem to her. That is when she meets Miss Honey. Miss Honey has a unique history. Matilda likes her. After that one after another interesting events occur in her life.

This book has also been filmed. I don't really like the film. It does not precisely shoot according to the book. The little girl in the film does not match the one in my imagination too. I imagined her cuter than that.:)

Pengganti Sang Penakhluk

Alhamdulillah

habis je sy baca buku 'Sultan Muhammad Al Fateh', terus dtg ke laptop utk tulis. kerana perasaan sy skrg ini masih segar.
Membaca buku Sultan Muhamad Al Fateh gives me the feeling of sad and amazed. Walaupun, mungkin penceritaan dia ada tokok tambah (wallahualam), tapi sy dpt bygkan kegagahan dan keberanian beliau.
Sejak kecil, beliau disuntik dgn semangat utk menawan Konstantinople. Apabila berada di tahap kegemilangan, masih berjihad utk meluaskan empayar islam.

Apabila sampai dipertengahan cerita dlm buku ni sehinggalah ke akhirnya, sy rasa sedih dan sebak bila fikir y susah nak jumpa pemuda mcm Sultan Muhamad Al Fateh. Anak raja tetapi bersederhana. Menang berperang tetapi tidak zalim dan takbur. Ditawarkan harta dan pangkat, tetapi tegas menolak.

Pada waktu mlm, beliau sendiri berjalan di sekitar negeri melihat keadaan rakyat. Mencontoh Saidina Umar. Di situ juga beliau bertemu dgn jodohnya. Tanpa melihat wajah beliau sudah berkenan. Bukan rupa y jadi tarikan, tetapi alunan suara y mengaji serta akhlak terpuji y menarik hati beliau.

Jadi, mana nak cari Sang Penakhluk sepertinya sekarang.?

Scene y paling saya kagum, bila Sultan Muhamad Al Fateh mnyuruh guru agamanya memimpin solat jumaat selepas menakhluk Konstantinople, tapi gurunya menolak dan suruh cari org y lebih bertaqwa utk mnjadi imam. Bila Al Fateh keluar mengumpulkan tenteranya dan berkata:

"SIAPA ANTARA KAMU Y PERNAH MENINGGALKAN SOLAT FARDHU 5 WAKTU, SILA DUDUK"
-semua masih berdiri-

"SIAPA ANTARA KAMU Y PERNAH MENINGGALKAN SUNAT RAWATIB, SILA DUDUK"
-separuh mula duduk-

'SIAPA ANTARA KAMU Y PERNAH TINGGAL SOLAT TAHAJUD, SILA DUDUK"
-tinggallah Al Fateh seorang y masih berdiri-
 *time ni aku menjerit "weeeeeeeeehhh!!! nok tok laki mace diooooooo* trans: nak suami mcm dia!

Saya rasa, kalau soalan y sama di ajukan kepada tentera atau rakyat zaman sekarang........................(insyaAllah masih ada)


p/s: Kalau pemimpin sekarang mcm ni, aku rasa, xde rakyat y akan x puas hati dan post mcm2 dekat blog or facebook etc.

(kalau sy xbley jadi cam beliau, dpt jadi cam bini beliau pn....)

Allah 'Speaks' To Us

I'm in the middle of a break. currently reading 'Personaliti Wanita Y di Kasihi Allah dan Rasul and 'Sultan Muhamad Al Fateh' ------------------->>>>*pandang hujung mata buku 'as you like it' by shakespeare y akan dibincang dlm lecture esok.(urghh..sape suh buku tu font x menarik:p*alasan*)
However, i wish not to talk about 'Personaliti Wanita Y di Kasihi Allah dan Rasul' now and that will only be discussed after i've finished with it.

I'm attracted to what is written in 'Sultan Muhamad Al Fateh'. A very outstanding leader i would say. I'm amazed of how Muslims back then believed in every single hadis that they recieved from Rasulullah. As for us now, we know what we are now. I'm not trying to degrade muslim but i'm speaking about myself. We are familiar with the hadis from Rasulullah s.a.w about a great leader who will conquer Constantinople. When  the muslims heard about the hadis, they tried to be the person meant by Rasulullah in that hadis. One after one leader tried to be 'that great leader'. but failed. each attempt. Amazingly, it did not end there. It carried on until Sultan Murad the father of Sultan Muhamad Al Fateh.

I was amazed!! really. If now, we read al quran and there's verse where Allah mentions about 'wahai org org beriman, or wahai org org y bertaqwa' do we feel the same way as they felt? Do we feel that Allah is speaking to us. Allah is pointing at us. or do we just read it without the verse melt and be the blood that pumping to our whole body system.

I really really want to feel the way they feel. Feel the heat of jihad in my own way as a muslim lady.

but a junior who studies in Jordan recommended this book. I wish to have ittttttttttt....^_^

p/s: I am kinda wondering, does all the narrations in the book are based on true historical line or is it some kind of adding to make the book (novel) interesting. coz, people might end up telling the wrong facts to others
